ThinkFlood Website

  • ThinkFlood website

The website for ThinkFlood and the RedEye product incorporates the usual suspects—text, images and embedded video. Oh, did you want that website to work on the iPhone™ and iPod touch®, too? Obviously.

We are strong believers in the One Web approach to web design and development. Simply put, content accessible by one device should be accessible from other devices as well. That means there isn't a separate site for iPhone™ and iPod touch® visitors (though, there are a few enhancements to optimize the experience). The website relies on valid HTML and CSS—which means that it works on these other devices—the way it should be.

The site also incorporates a Support section (managed using a seamlessly customized WordPress install), as well as e-commerce functionality that allows ThinkFlood to sell directly to consumers. This e-commerce section includes a shopping cart and an easy-to-use, two page checkout process. While the checkout process is simple for end users, there's quite a bit happening behind the scenes with the integration of multiple APIs.

Like the other websites we host, thinkflood.com is hosted with Rackspace Cloud Sites, which remained running smoothly even with all of the press coverage and associated traffic. Rackspace even featured ThinkFlood's launch on their blog.
